Why is Tylenol abbreviated APAP?

I’m presently taking a course in preparation for employment as a pharmacy technician, and I’ve been learin a lot of abbreviations and stuff. Usually, I can readily understand the rationale for the abbreviations, but acetaminophen is eluding me.

Why APAP? The PDR wasn’t helpful.

remember, as a pharmacy technician, don’t be too obvious when you pocket those hydrocodone pills, and try not to exceed 3000mg of “APAP” per day, as it will kill yer liver.
