Why isn't Hamas using IEDs?

Define civilian? That’s part of the problem. Hamas is a military state within a state and it’s made up of civilians using civilian infrastructure.

When you figure out the definition of civilian then I would direct your question about acceptable casualty ratios to the people who are using civilians as shields.

I’m sure the IDF will be happy to hear ivan’s proposed alternative, as will I.

Sorry but I’ve been asked not to feed you.

Hey, I just got called a troll for the first time. And in GD, no less! I note that you haven’t bothered to explain how any of the questions you posted are even remotely relevant.

I don’t think they would. I’d disarm them to the level of Hamas so it could be called a proper war.

I would also like an explanation, if there is one, for the relevance of your questions to the OP’s. Otherwise, you’re just participating in a highjack.

So should Israel simply lob a rocket randomly into Gaza every time Hamas launches one into Israel?

This is probably 5 of the top 10 stupid ideas I’ve ever heard. So…Israel should disarm to the level of Hamas so that the fight is fair?? Yeah…there is a great idea.
As to the OP it’s already been answered…Hamas DOES use IED’s. The real question is…why doesn’t Hamas use IUD’s?

Improvised Uterine Devices ? Now that’s just barbaric.

Being one of Hamas’ girlfriends really is a blast.

How many dead children will be enough to make you feel better about all that?

The Palestinians have home built incredible rockets that seek out and destroy only women and children. That is pretty advanced in my book.
You do not kill a movement by wiping out the leaders. You just take people who were unlikely to act ,get motivated enough to get involved. Does anyone think after this shooting fish in a barrel exercise finishes .the Palestinians will think we deserved the ass kicking because we are bad people and we will fight no more.

IEDs are most effective against supply lines and patrol routes. To be useful, you have to be able to place them behind enemy lines and when you won’t be seen placing them. In other words, you need distance and an enemy that isn’t advancing, but has already established itself.

Gaza is tiny, and Israel is advancing. IEDs can do some damage, but conditions are by no means ideal for them.

Sua

Yeah, that’s likely to reduce casualties…

Moderator’s Warning: You’ve also been asked not to call other posters trolls in this forum. Don’t do that again, please.

Well, initially I was picturing improvised birth control. Y’know, rusty coat hangers and the like. Perfectly healthy stuff.
But now, thanks to YOU, I’m now imagining suicide vagina-C4bombers. Thanks a lot.

All right, all right…I thought you were kidding the first time but now I’m not sure. You’ve heard of IUDsbefore, right? No “improvised” here.

Hamas chicks: you’ll wish it was teeth!

D’you think I happened upon the word “uterine” by random chance ? :dubious:
