Why isn't this a thing? (Or is it?)

I don’t know where Grrr is, but 3rd shift bars are quite popular around here (Milwaukee Suburb). We have a lot of blue collar workers who’s days are just winding down as everyone else is on their way to work in the morning. Most of these bars are set up within a block or two of the bigger factories in the area.
It’s always odd to walk into a bar at 9 or 10 in the morning and you can tell most of the patrons have already been there for a few hours.

Jack’s Bar on Pittsburgh’s Southside is open 7 am to 2 am. A true dive bar.

In Hawaii, some bars open at 6am and can stay open until 4am (cabaret license, most bars have to close at 2am), closing only for those two hours. Some of the after hours bars are known for being pickup bars, especially for drunk “Buy me drinkee” hostesses from other bars.

Yep. Back in the 90s, this bar would not only be open at 7am, it would also be crowded! Complete with a live band and lingerie models handing out tickets.

I bet anybody who walked into that bar that didn’t work the night shift probably felt like they wondered into the Twilight Zone.

Bar still gets a good crowd, but nothing like it used to be in the 90s. The bar never recovered their morning crowd after the recession hit.
