In this thread on golf it’s mentioned that CNN was called out on dubbing incorrect calls during games? Why would they put in birdcalls? Because people expect to hear them?
It gives a bucolic feel to the video. It makes you feel like you’re in the countryside. In its way, it is like theme music.
Nitpick: that thread discusses CBS. CNN doesn’t (that I know of) show any golf.
