I kid … see Hoatzin
They dont lay any larger number of eggs than the original chicken … one a day. One chicken, 1 egg [more or less. it isnt actually always a 24 hour schedule, and in a group of chickens someone wont be laying on that particular day. Out of our dozen chickens we will get 6 to 8 eggs a day.]
Trust me … we let a few turkeys just continue living, figuring that it was easier to have them walking aorund rather than in the freezer for the next years thanksgiving.
One was 42 pounds at about 19 months old, and the other was 44 pounds… the one we chopped and sent to my parents they had cooked in a friends restaraunt chain oven, ours we had to modify the oven to cook. We couldnt put the rack on the little lugs, we had to rest it on bricks in the bottom of the oven, and we had to fabricate a roasting pan. The turkey just wouldnt fit otherwise. We cooked it unstuffed as we felt that it would stay in the danger zone too long with stuffing in.
Iguana eggs. They are good, although I have almost always had them overcooked to hell.
