Why not believe in God?

As the great philosopher, Homer Simpson, once put it, “What if we picked the wrong religion? Every week, we’re just making God madder and madder!”

Maybe we need a wager that takes the possibility of guessing wrong into account. Like follow whatever religion your parents believed in. Then if you die and it turns out you were wrong, you at least have somebody you can try to pin the blame on. Or follow whatever religion has the most followers. Then if you die and it turns out you’re going to Hell, you can at least band together and pick on the smaller groups.
