Why not stick with daylight savings time all year?

I know; I know. This discussion ended years ago. But I don’t care!! The end of DST is only a few days away, and it’s vile. One very important issue that has not been mentioned is that many people can drive comfortably and safely during daylight hours, but the situation changes at night. These people are most likely to be retired and to NOT need to keep to work hours, so the daylight extension really helps them-- and EVERYONE else driving, walking, biking, etc., etc., etc…

You’re aware that manipulating the clocks isn’t what’s making the sun set sooner, right?

Also, setting the clocks forwards in the summer isn’t causing the crops to scorch from getting too much sun.

zombie or no

do you not want to change your clocks like people in Arizona? do yo know what type of people live in Arizona?

hot Arizonians

Pffft. Next you’ll be telling us that DST isn’t contributing to global warming.

Cue my semi-annual “standard, daylight, split the difference, pick something else altogether, I really don’t care, just pick something and STICK WITH IT” rant. I really don’t see any benefit that’s worth the PITA factor of the twice-annual “change every timepiece you own” hassle.

[nitpick] Arizonans. There’s no second I. We live in Arizona, not Arizonia. [/nitpick]

Canadians, because they want to get some sunlight in the winter!

Deleted - missed that this was a zombie

If it is anything like here when winter is in full flow then you get to work in the dark and leave work in the dark. It doesn’t matter where the sun moves around during the day, you still aren’t seeing it.
