Why shouldn't I move to Massachusetts?

Which proves that Global Warming is a hoax.

Food that is noticeably better in California:

Mexican (way, way better), Chinese (just somewhat, but you pay for rice in Boston which will be annoying), Japanese, Korean, Korean Tacos, Thai, Uzbek, Vietnamese, fast food burgers, and maybe Persian.

Food that is noticeably better in Massachusetts (I was in Boston):

Italian (including pizza, calzones), Portuguese, Brazilian, Irish pub type food, fancy burgers, South Asian, Lobster-related dishes

Falafel/shawarma type places are usually better in Boston but in LA they also sell funnel cake, so it’s a wash.

Produce is better in California (except for apples maybe).

Snow isn’t scary, but it is a pain. If you can handle the winters (which really aren’t all bad, it can be very satisfying to be in a warm cozy house when it’s snowing outside) you will really like it I think.

With good winter clothes even going out isn’t really bad, if it’s not actually snowing and windy. Just remember to put your gloves on BEFORE you go outside.

Oh, I do. I’ve been telling people for years that Providence drivers are every bit as bad as Boston ones* but no one listens. There was a big article about the worst drivers in the US a year or two ago, though, and guess who came in just behind Boston?

*I spent a season in hell eight miles from the MA/RI line. Okay, more like 2.5 years.

It may be like that around Providence, but if you go 20 miles outside of Providence then you’ll be in a different state. So there.

After roughly 20 years of driving in Dallas, and another 15 in Boston, I still honestly have no idea why people say Boston has the worst drivers. People in Dallas were fucking crazy at rush hour, and I saw scary, violent behavior repeated there that I have yet to see once in Boston. Maybe I’m just driving in the wrong places.

As for RI, yes I should have specified Providence. Everything calms down very quickly once you get away from there.
