Tonight at the Blockbuster video store I bought a container of sour apple “Bubble Tape” bubble gum. If you don’t know what it is, ask a kid (or a guy like me. 40 years old and I still love the candy aisle. I shoved that entire wad of gum into my mouth all at once too!:D)
Anyway, while standing in line to pay for my video and the gum, which was already in my mouth, I noticed on the ingredients that there were 4 different sweetners: Sugar, corn syrup, acesulame K, and aspartame. Why so many different ones? And why would they mix in sweetners like ace K and nutra sweet , which are expensive and usually used in sugar free products? (Sugar is the #1 ingredient in this stuff). Why so many different sweetners?
