Well, IF Egyptians want to overthrow their government for the sake of taking it on with Israel or any other countries, then they are more stupid than anyone is giving them credit for and they shall truly be doomed to live in abject poverty. I was hoping that freedom and their standard of living was the important stuff.
I don’t have any reason to believe this as of yet, but time will tell.

In watching this over the days, protesters have said fuck all about Israel, not a single person interviewed that I caught said anything about Israel, it was all about being fed up with Mubarak, corruption and that sort of thing. For someone who opened a thread complaining about ‘speculation about Israel’ is rather seems the speculation is mostly from you.
The causes if the current trouble in Egypt are reasonably clear. They are not taking on Mubarak in order to go to war with Israel, but war with Israel at worst, and a strengthening if Hamas at “best” may very well be the unintended consequence.
Saudi Arabia actually does have a recent history of conflict with Egypt.
