Questions to IMHO. I was looking for the most objective answer possible. Something like
“according to breakdown data from XYG engineers the 1998 XXXX is the most reliable auto ever produced” Furthermore, the reason that you may have noticed 199X Honda Accord’s with engine damage from busted timing belts relates to a design innovation implemented by Yahsuto Yamamoto in 1987 designed to increase engine torque by 3%, unfortunately according to the used Jampanese car association also had the unwanted side effect of placing the engine in an exposed area in the event of timing belt breaks “it seems like perhaps the Japanese couldn’t even imagine someone not doing regular maintenance”.
Thats sort of thing. Of course there is intrinsic opinion built into this question, but then again that would also be the case had I asked “What is considered to be the best treatment for lung cancer.” or “What is thought to be the earliest that we could launch a mission to Mars if we made an all out effort.” Or even what is the nature of dark matter (depends on which Physicist you ask, and what he is currently thinking on the subject).
Asked and answered in the OP. It will be an opinion no matter what. Some could offer their opinion and back it up with opinions from experts but it would remain opinions. IMHO the lung cancer question might belong in GQ, the other two would be Great Debates.
My point was that almost any question can be considered to reflect opinion (Even in higher mathmatics and have a variety of perspectives proofs, solutions ect). My question can be factually answered, albeit based upon a variety of different surveys, evaluations, and criteria. However, it has been my experience that car questions such as mine are almost invariably thrown into IMHO.
