I’ve got one yellow card from Marley for “Personal Insults.” Okay, fine.

:smack:
Take my wife, please!
jk, I don’t even have a wife
I’d rather be jerked off than jerked on.
Should’ve been called the Robert Burns Effect:
**O, wad some Power the giftie gie us
To see oursels as others see us!**It wad frae monie a blunder free us,
An’ foolish notion.
What airs in dress an’ gait wad lea’e us
An’ ev’n Devotion
To a Louse, st. 8 (1786) [1]
I actually suggest to my kids to say, “You are **acting ** like a jerk.”, or “Why are you **acting ** like a jerk?” when thay are confronted with jerky behavior.
I see this as:
[ol]
[li]softening the insult a bit, leaving room for reconciliation,[/li][li]hopefully, getting the other person to think about their behavior (who wants to act like a jerk?)[/li][/ol]
