While on vacation, staying at a motel in Orlando (ugh), I noticed several birds (large black birds - crows maybe) drinking from the motel swimming pool. There was a lake nearby. Are these birds stupid, desparate, or both? Will chlorinated water kill them?
Most tap water has chlorine in it, and it hasn’t killed me yet. I don’t think the chlorine concentrations in pool water make it totally undrinkable. If I had to choose between Florida swamp water and hotel pool water, I think I’d drink out of the pool. The chlorine might not taste to good, but at least it’s free of most microbes.
