I don’t think I’m imagining this. If I drink 2 litres or more of Diet Coke in a few hours my face gets flushed. Any reason why this would be? A mild allergy or something?
Could just be the caffiene. It’ll dilate some blood vessels, which is why caffiene is used in some over the counter headache remedies. I don’t know for sure if that’s what makes you flush.
Rosacea, maybe? Caffeine can be a trigger.

Dude. (Or Dudette) 2 liters of Diet Coke in a couple of hours is a LOT of caffeine. That just might be the issue.

2L of Diet Coke = 67.6oz (from the bottle)
a 12 oz serving has 45.6mg of caffeine = 5.63 servings
45.6mg caffeine x 5.63 servings = 257mg caffeine
An 8oz coffee, drip, 115-175mg caffeine
So, it’s like drinking 2 or so cups of coffee, in that short time period.
If you tend to get flushed after a couple of cups of coffee, then it’s the caffeine. But it’s not what I’d call a lot of caffeine. It is a fair quantity of water though.
