Yup, Katherine Harris, the Drama Queen* of Election 2000, is running for a US House seat from Florida.

Yeah, if she’d been up on her broomstick that morning, she could’ve intercepted the planes. :rolleyes:

I’m glad I don’t live down thataway, but if I lived in her district, I’d go into politics just for the sheer joy of running against her.

*[sub]During the Battle for Florida, she went around comparing herself to Queen Esther - repeating Esther’s line, “If I perish, I perish”, so often that even her own staff got tired of it, according to the Washington Post. Poor dear.[/sub]

While I agree with you that her mentioning the recent terrorist attacks are reprehensible, I gotta say, “BFD.” Janet Reno’s running for governor of FLA, so what?

She’ll still be Sec’y of State. She’ll get to be in charge of counting her own votes.

Well, I wonder how many FL voters noted that the Janet R Bitch is in very deep doo-doo with the courts.

Seems there’s a little matter of follow-up (re: the Elian G case) to clean up (about $100 Million in law suits) before this toad has a prayer as a viable candidate for any posting more significant than dogcatcher in Middleburg.

Considering Reno was only following the law in the Elian case, I’d like to know who the hell would sue her-except for Elian’s nutty relatives in Little Havana.

who gives a giant rat’s ass about a Florida congressional seat? It’s not as if she’s going to be in a direct line for Presidential succession.
