Wild Boars in European Cities?

When I lived there, I knew of one Chinese place in Jerusalem to get pork.

I live in Tel Aviv, and I know of at least six places I can get pork within 100 yards of my house.

I was there decades ago, so I’m not surprised.

ETA: Ramat Aviv, but I’d walk into Tel Aviv on Shabbat for a coffee.

Is the Christian community there so large that pork is that widespread, or is there a lot of non-Kosher/Halal pork eating going on?

The latter - although Chinese is much less popular than Thai and Japanese. I suspect there are more Japanese restaurants in Tel Aviv than there are actual Japanese people.

There are more non-kosher restaurants in Tel Aviv than there are kosher ones, by a significant margin. That isn’t the case in the rest of the country, though.

So, a box with a stick propping it up is not a realistic option here?

If we could just figure out a way to stencil “FREE” on each boar, they would be gone within a day or two. This works with everything I put at the curb/kerb.

How did you get those?!

A Tokyo meteorite collector had the forsight to buy the vacuum cleaner bag from the homeowner after they cleaned the floor after the obvious fragments were collected. Working under a microscope he sorted the meteorite fragments from the dust and drywall in the bag. I got my few milligrams in trade directly from the Tokyo collector in 2007. But at least one collector/dealer still has some for sale (the dealer is legit even if the page is primitive.)

Were you living in Kobe at the time of the fall?
