Gore has already been VP and I don’t think any pol would want a third term in that job.
In his shoes, would you go against her? (Under any conceivable interpretion of the phrase? )
If we’re looking at the lollygaggers:
Gore/Obama vs. Thompson/Romney or Huckabee
Wouldn’t that be a fun race?
I am trying to see the other side on Hillary but I just can’t see her getting anywhere near the votes to win a general election. If she’s the nom it will be a bloodbath, which is really saying something with the uphill battle the republicans have.
In all seriousness, I wouldn’t be the least surprised if after the 2008 election (which I don’t anticipate her winning) they become the first First Couple to divorce (which will be a very interesting set of issues: does she still receive Secret Service Protection, for example, or if Bill remarries then will his new wife be known as First Lady or just ‘Britney’.)
Nah- just call her ‘Paris’.
I don’t think the Clintons will divorce, but if the tabloids are correct the George-Laura Bush divorce settlement is all agreed on and will take effect when he leaves office.
I’ve seen the screaming “BUSH DIVORCE” headlines in the checkout line too, but is there any truthiness to these rumors? What would be the grounds for the divorce (the REAL ones, not the comedy goldmine ones that we could have fun with all day)? And wouldn’t they wait a “respectable” amount of time before parting ways?
Not that it’s any more confirmed than the supposed divorce, but supposedly George is back on the sauce. Would certainly be one good reason.
