Will anyone get to see today's annular solar eclipse?

Map of the eclipse track: Annular solar eclipse 15 January 2010

It’s supposed to be partially visible in Korea. I might try to get a look at it if I don’t forget. :smack:

Nope, no eclipses here until that lunar on 21st Dec - must try to remember that!

Ack! missed it by that much!

It says that here it ends at 9:58 AM and I saw the information at 9:54. Bummer. I’m in my room with the curtains closed so I just thought it was more cloudy than usual outside this morning.

I’m in the U.S., so obviously not, but I’ve seen an annular solar eclipse, and it was an unforgettable experience.

Those times are Universal Time, not local Bangkok time. The eclipse hasn’t actually started yet. It begins in about fifteen minutes’ time in Africa. The maximum eclipse in Bangkok doesn’t occur for another four and a half hours or so.

Slaps forehead

Now if only this thick blanket of haze/smog/clouds over Bangkok would move out by that time it would be great.

Seems to be getting darker here. But I don’t have any glasses to see the eclipse at the office.
