Joe Biden may well be the most consistently underestimated man in Washington. What I like best about him is that doesn’t seem to bother him.
I’ve looked at a number of Biden’s so-called gaffes, and they don’t seem all that gaffy to me. Certainly less so than the determinedly asinine stupidity of a typical Michele Bachmann moment.
He does fill a much-needed void here.
I have watched Biden for decades doing business in the Senate - at times I was Democrat, at times I was Republican - I always admired Biden as a person.
I must say the blatant discrimination against the aged displayed on this board is quite shocking - reminds me of the Science Fiction movie LOGAN’S RUN - where everyone past a certain age had to turn themselves in to die publically.
As far as “tawkin” or any other elements of my “authentic frontier gibberish” - I would point out that DIALECT, just like HYPERBOLE is simply a figure of speech that is part of the English language, not a travesty to it - witness Samuel Clemens/Mark Twain - but yew kin bark abowt muh inglish til the cows come home an it wont faze me.

Well, I’ve never been one to argue against the usage of dialect. Of course, there’s no guarantee that the way you’re choosing to spell those words accurately represents your dialect and I do believe a number of your spellings, such as tawkin or an or inglish would be considered eye-dialect which is a fancy way of saying the phonetic spelling matches the standard pronunciation but because it varies from the orthographic norm connotes a more rustic attitude.
But this is all tangential to my real curiosity. What happened to Habbakuks 1 and 2?

I don’t recall anyone on this board seriously suggesting even a watered-down version of this rather suspect claim of yours. I daresay, though, age is a concern when considering a presidential candidate, given the stresses of the job (some of which, I might add, are gleefully and disingenuously inflicted by political opponents for electoral advantage rather than the best interests of the nation). Significantly, though, the parents of both Hillary Rodham Clinton and Joe Biden all lived at least into their eighties, with their mothers getting past ninety, which is encouraging if either is considered for 2016.
