Will Hollywood Films Ever Include Explicit X-Rated Porn?

Yes, yes, and no.

I was with you until you demanded decent writing and acting in porn…that’s what the normal Hollywood movies are for.

Don’t mess up my porn with your damn talkin’! Get back to the porn already!

I haven’t seen the first one, but the Vivid adult film Pirates 2:Skagnetti’s revenge, is actually pretty funny. I know they reedited a version of it to be R and get released for Blockbuster et al, which sould tell you something.

I was under the impression that the sex scenes were simulated in that film. Never seen it, though, so I can’t judge for myself.

The blowjob in Brown Bunny is only simulated in the sense that no explicit acknowledgement of Vincent Gallo’s assholery is made. All else is real. I think Chloe even swallows.

That she has a career at this point can only be seen as evidence of a merciful God.

I really can’t see it working for the simple reason that pornographic sex scenes take too long. Movies tend to be about two hours long, give or take a half hour. Including a pornographic sex scene would eat up about twenty minutes of film time as well as a couple of days of shooting, all for something that doesn’t really advance the movie’s plot. If people want to see porn, they’ll rent porn. If they want to watch a well developed story, they’ll go to a Hollywood film.

Yeah, we might see edgy art house fare like Shortbus, but I don’t think it will go any further than that.

Sorry, I should have been more clear: I was referring to Lust, Caution. I have seen Brown Bunny (unfortunately) and I know that that scene was unsimulated.
