I have had this odd feeling he’s going to kill himself ever since I heard he was going to plead guilty.
And the sooner the better.
I would think that if suicide was the plan, he would plead not guilty, to draw out the legal process as long as possible, giving him a couple more years to spend his stolen fortune…
But, with a person such as this, I guess you cant be sure what he is capable of.
The plea will happen in the coming days. The sentencing won’t be for several months.

I believe it is in federal court, where proceedings are not televised.

About three, to be more precise. Sentencing is set for June 16.
This is according to morning drive radio news, so accuracy updates may yet be in order.
He plead guilty to all charges with no plea deal? Who does that? Do you guys really believe someone this powerful and wealthy didn’t strike some kind of under-the-table cushy cell?
Even the trial keeps him in county lockup and out of Shawshank, why wouldn’t he drag this out?
Someone who doesn’t want to agree to testify against his sons, I bet.

He wants to take all the heat so his family is not charged and they can keep their fortune. Didn’t feel the same about the people he stole from.
There are also rumors going around that Madoff has pancreatic cancer; if true, it could explain why he’s willing to take the full rap for all of this. He may not even live to be sentenced in June.
I’d been thinking he’d come down with a serious “heart condition” and would have to be confined to hospital.
Pancreatic cancer makes more sense. Easy to take jail time if he’s on the way out.
I hope Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg pees on his grave. And we nail all his accomplices whether he lives or dies.
Why will this end with Bernie, why won’t prosecutors get the family as well?
We have no way of knowing whether it will or won’t at this point. His wife, brother and sons are still being investigated.
