How do I find out if my insurance is going to go up from a misdemeanor I got without calling the insurance company and asking them?
misdemeanor: illegal use of Drivers Lisence (using someone else’s ID to get into bar)

Call dept of Motor Vehicles and find out if you have ‘points’ charged to your license. You probably don’t, since points come from driving/moving violations.
No points = no insurance impact.
Exceptions? Maybe, but I gave you rule of thumb.
If it’s something you’re worried about telling your insurance company then, ipso facto, it is something you should tell your insurance company.
Otherwise you are likely to find that the company make a point of finding out about it when you come to make a claim. If they have any concerns about it then, they will likely use it to invalidate your insurance and refuse to pay out.
So you’re as well telling them. My guess would be it won’t change things. But if it does, well those are the breaks. Far better having dearer insurance that covers you than insurance that turns out to be void and worthless.
You are not obligated to tell anything to your insurance company except what is spelled out in your policy/contract.
If you don’t have a copy, call and ask that one be sent to you. Tell them you are re-evaluating your insurance needs, and don’t say anything more until you read it.
I think it shouldn’t affect your rates, but I don’t know. I drove uninsured for 1 year, never had an accident, but when I got insurance again, my rate doubled. It makes no sense at all to me.
