I saw what you did there.
I know this is a zombie, but he’s been married since 1968- that’d be a bloody deep closet.
All dwarfs have beards (except, possibly, for Carrot). Some dwarfs do have difficulty in growing their own beard, and there are some hints that this might be correlated with physical sex, but in such cases the dwarf will wear an artificial beard, another topic which is not discussed in polite company.
Incidentally, his daughter Rhianna Pratchett is modestly well-known for writing both for and about computer games.
Certainly, gay rights pales in significance compared to other pressing social issues Pratchett has written about, such as the invention of the postage stamp.
Casanunda is beardless.
If that’s what you thought Going Postal was about, you’re not reading very deeply.
I know I’m late on this, but:
::squints:: How do you know that…
I always took it to be a logical consequence of his universe. I think he once wrote (about racial issues) something like “In a universe where trolls and dwarfs and goblins exist, the color of human skin is of little consequence”. Human (homo)sexuality probably falls into that crack.
I think the actual line re race was more like “Black and white live in harmony and gang up on green”.
There’s Bodoni and Goodmountain, the dwarfs who ran the printing-press in The Truth. Both are male.
We didn’t until you responded…
Giggity.
As far as we know.
And I did wonder about Pepe; I know Pterry tends to play with stereotypes but still.
::squints:: Who says I was confirming anything…
I sort of assume Ponder Stebbins is at least bi… he’s like so many geeks I know, wouldn’t know what to do if EITHER sex asked them out!
I think Vetinari has a crush on Sam from when he saved his life in the past.
I…no…just…no. Also, it’s brain bleach time. Because Rule 34.
I could see Vetinari having a crush on that crossword writer person, but that’s it.
Oh, why did I look! Why!
I can buy that one as well!
I hate you. What has been seen cannot be unseen
::cries::
This one I laughed at, though - very meta.
I have been in fandom for FAR too many years, not only was I not surprised to see Vetinari/Vimes slash but I was a bit surprised to see only ONE page of it…
