Will roundup kill cypress tree hedge

Have several bramble plants growing inbetween cypress tree hedge and so cant dig up roots etc.A two weeks ago i sprayed them with 3% solution of roundup. Some of the areas around each bramble bush has faded and gone brownish.have i damaged or killed the cypress tree.It wasnt too much applied and was a low concentration. The hedge is over 7 foot high.Ive heard that roundup can stunt growth in trees so is the damage permanant and will the tree and the affected parts recover?

If there is still green on the branch, you can prune off the dead bits and they will probably grow back. Make sure they are getting enough water as well.

To target just the brambles, paint the Round-Up onto their leaves with a brush, or shave or cut the stems and paint immediately with undiluted glyphosate. Brambles are more resistant to Round-Up (and other weed-killers) than the cypress are, so you need to target them directly.

as i said the only the areas around the bramble sprayed are affected the rest of the hedge is okay.will prune off browned parts and water them as the next week is going to be dry

in a congested plant area painting is a better application. a fresh cut stem is good. cut a stem high and make a fresh cut (an inch back) and application every two weeks until the undesired plant dies.

yeah will use paintbrush in future is two weeks too soon or will i wait a month to apply the roundup there?

See how it’s going. Roundup can take a week or two to work. The hedge might get some more brown patches in it too, as the Roundup spreads through the plant.

am wondering will the branches be permantly killed as this would result in me having to cut down the trees altogether much to my dismay and that of my neighbour.I dont want to prune it any further as it might reach a point of not growing back at all.in some cases where ive pruned the brown colours has reached further down the branch by a few cms.Id like to know if the leaves on a cypress branch die will they grow back at all?
