So maybe I didn’t realized just how geeky Will Smith was, I mean, I noticed he loved doing Sci-fi movies, but it just never clicked with me. Wiredhas an excellent interview with him which highlights just how smart and geeky the rapper turned actor is.

That sounds interesting. Because going by the trailers the movie has as much to do with Asimov as The Time Machine had to do with HG Wells’ story of the same name.
Actually, I just read the rest of the review. It’s pretty clear that Will Smith doesn’t get it.
That’s kind of the opposite of what Asimov’s stories were about. His robots didn’t have a choice about being confined to the 3 laws, any more than your fridge has a choice about keeping your food cool or not.
Aye, I agree with that, but I was just referring to his geeky traits and the fact he keeps all the props he touched in the movies.
I’m really surprised that he did really turn down the Matrix, I thought it was an Internet hoax saying he had turned it down. I’m glad he turned it down, pretty surprised he was approached in the first place.
