I was looking over the allocation of the new digital TV stations and noticed that some of the stations are side by side in the same city.
I am assuming that this is OK or they wouldn’t have assigned them.
Therefore after 2008 when we go to DTV will there be more TV stations. Right now the stations are so high priced as there is a limit to how many an area can have.
For instance Chicago has NO availale channels left.
Now if they allow station in DTV to be next to each other, while the limit will still be there, the opportunity for more stations will also be there.
Will we see more programing. Due to more TV stations being available and networks now don’t have to pay high prices for an affilate.
