Will Wall Street be abolished if Sanders wins?

Before it’s too late.

One can hope, but even Bernie Sanders has too much of the bourgeois liberal in him to boldly issue progressive orders for the liquidation of the parasitical FIRE caste in this nation. Ideally the third thing he does after taking office (the first being to create a worker’s militia in line with our enlightened Second Amendment and the second being to issue snazy uniforms by Hugo Boss with peaked caps and jackboots to match for them) would be order 20,000 or 30,000 of the People’s Army to march on Wall Street and drag out anybody who isn’t a floorsweeper or a receptionist and send them on a one-way train to Montana where they can be put to useful labour for the first time by building nuclear power plants or planting potatoes or serving as cannon fodder in the inevitable and glorious war of Liberation against the forces of Russian and Chinese reaction on the Manchurian and Ukrainian fronts.

Because we want to avoid going down any path that ends in some innocent beaten to death with a walker.

Doesn’t matter, in a Sanders Admin, Congress will be interned in one of the new Gul- . . . Happy Fun Time Labor Extraction Centers, and its votes will be reported out of there through official channels.

Some of my friends think Sanders is a Soviet mole. I don’t think that, but some of my friends grew up in Queens and they really think it’s true. After all, Sanders went to the Soviet Union in the 80’s. And then he came back. So some people think he’s a mole, not me of course. Just sayin’.

Exactly. Sanders’ plan is to turn the USA into a version of the Soviet Union that he loved so much he had his honeymoon there. The truth is that it wasn’t his bride or the 12-person political delegation that went with him that he was in love with, it was Soviet Socialist communism. If Sanders gets elected, business owners will all be sent to re-education camps and kept there until they all embrace Socialism™. But we all know that it won’t come to that, because Obama ain’t goin’ nowheres. It’s already too late, the die is cast. As already established in my newsletters*, Obama is going to declare marshal law and appoint himself President for Life. Oh sure, he acts all proper like his term is up next January, but it ain’t up yet, innit?

  • I publish a newsletter on these subjects that you may be interested in subscribing to.

And that’s where his nefarious plan will fail. Every Patriot knows the Sheriff is the Ultimate Law Enforcement Authority.

Unfortunately, the Sheriff in question is the Canadian arena rock band best known for its number-one single “When I’m With You”.

And Canadians, as everyone knows, are just Soviets with better table manners.

uummm…Am I the only one who sees the real problem here?:
Wall Street starts at the South Side harbour, and runs inland.

When the President abolishes Wall Street, won’t all that water in the harbour flood the city?

The way he talks about them, he could destroy it. Impose a large tax.

…without the House or Senate?

By Executive Order? No.

Wall Street is already heavily taxed. So I guess it’s been destroyed all these years without us noticing it. Sanders is going to be annoyed if he gets elected and finds he won’t be able to do it himself. But I guess he’ll be able to console himself by taking all our guns and banning religion.

What Constitutional authority does the President have to “impose a large tax”?

I’m not sure you understand what the President actually does.

He could sign an Executive Order creating a Department of the EXTERIOR, arrange for Donald Trump to head it using his interim appointment powers, and have Donald build a Wall WALL to keep the water in the harbor where it belongs.

Then it would better be named the Department of the POSTERIOR.

Touche.

Also, back in reality there’s no evidence that Sanders has any intention of abolishing Wall Street. Generally speaking, the stock market performs better under Democratic Administrations, though I suppose a Bernie Presidency could be different. Or not. Anyway, Bernie’s main beef is with large banks and paid lobbyists, not the stock market anyway.

You guys are baaaaaaaaad

Based on all the responses in this thread, I assume you are now clear that a president cannot unilaterally destroy Wall Street (whatever that means). Don’t bother trying to explain; I know you can’t.

That is incorrect, and shows just how little you understand about how the government, and even politics, works. Just because Bernie verbally expresses what he doesn’t like about Wall Street practices doesn’t mean he wants to destroy it, or see it destroyed…at all.
