William Shatner in talks for next Star Trek movie.

Older Kirk now looks likethis.

Wasn’t Kirk revived in the novels? I don’t read them, but it seems so from the blurbs. I know in general novels don’t count as canon, but then neither do the new movies.

Voyager’s Law: The new movies all have odd numbers.

I like to think of them as imaginary numbers. They’re on an axis orthogonal to reality.

The talks are, they want him to direct! After all, ST-V was such a huge success. They’re bumping out the current director, bringing in a whole new approach.

Yes, by Borg nanoprobes, because Spock did for Shatner what Shatner did for him, rather than just leaving him buried under some rubble on some planet. McCoy is also still alive and rejuvenated, and was the one who did the procedure to restore Kirk. They then go on adventures together.

At least, that’s what I remember from the last time I checked this out. I’ve not really gotten my hands on any of the actual novels.

And I just realized I said Shatner instead of Kirk. Are they really that synonymous in my mind?

Some people associate Shatner with Priceline.

Shatner in the next Star Trek movie? I can’t get behind that.

I remember a little better than you. Kirk was reanimated by the Borg, who were cooperating with the Romulans, who brainwashed Kirk into attempting to assassinate Picard. Spock mind-melded with Kirk and removed the desire to kill Picard.
