Win7 WMP Video Delay

In the past if I ever had a video file with an out-of-sync audio and video I’d use ffdshow (from K-Lite’s codec pack, I believe) to delay either the video or audio by a couple seconds (sometimes as little as a quarter of a second) until they matched up. With Win 7 I can’t get the ffdshow icons to appear in the system tray (a common problem, apparently) so I’m wondering if there’s another way to delay the video to get it and the audio to sync up (in this particular file I just need to delay the video by a half a second or so).

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried VLC? Here’s an article on it.
