The January issue of Classic Motorsports had an article called ‘Wind Up Sports Cars (Small Size Can Yield Big Fun)’. One of the cars tested was the Fiat 850. I found one on eBay.
While the Fiat couldn’t compare with the Triumph Spitfire or MG Midget, Classic Motorsports did say ‘The Fiat is totally cool in its uniqueness and in the style department…’ It really is a pretty little car. Sort of a miniature Fiat 124. It’s underpowered with its tiny engine, but I have a ‘thing’ for small engines. If I had an unlimited budget and a huge garage, I wouldn’t mind having one of these in my collection. Those Italians sure made some pretty cars back in the day.
