So anyone now how to get this to work? Specifically I am running into an issue with getting WIS to update its catalog

I assume you mean WINS, yes?

I’ve done it, though I’m no expert. Post your smb.conf and some more detail of the problem for starters. Not sure what you mean by “update its catalog”.

Is your Samba configuration set up to the point where you can “Map Network Drive” to it successfully?
