I am experiencing what seems to be a particularly bad memory leakage problem when I run FrontPage 2000 whilst connected to the Internet. I am running W98’s Resource Meter in the system tray. From that I can see as I go through a few cycles of web development and publishing that Window’s resources diminish drastically and I eventually have to do at least a warm boot (unless I leave it too long, in which case the system either hangs or drops into “blue screen” mode). Other programs that I am typically using at the same time as FrontPage are Eudora 5.1 and one of Opera 5.12 or IE 5.5 or Netscape 4.77. It seems that I can keep using any combination of these other browsers & eMail clients without any appreciable memory leakage, but as soon as I start running FP2000, then the problems start.
I am running Windows 98 (2nd Ed)on a Celeron 900 system with 256K RAM - but have experienced this leakage problem on various hardware configurations.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where the problem really is and, more importantly, what can be done about it?
