My husband has used WMP for a long time with no problem, but the other day it just stopped working. He gets the crashed splash screen saying “WMP has unexpectedly quit bla bla bla” The only thing he says he’s done is load Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 (I don’t know why) He’s re-loaded WMP several times with the same result.
I think it doesn’t like Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0, but I don’t have anything to back that up.
He has a G-4 tower with OS 10.4.3 Tiger. His browser is IE 5.2.3
Any ideas?

When I posted this, I used a shotgun approach. I also posted it in the Apple™ and Adobe™ forums as well. We got an answer. we had to trash some preferences, then it worked fine.
I have no problem with it at all. He is clinging to Acrobat Reader, which is no longer necessary, and IMO, has never worked well on any Mac.
Sooo, if a Mod happens to come along and would like to close this to avoid clutter, feel free.
What was the preference you trashed? I can’t get WMV to work at all.
Try VLC, It will play almost any compressed form of video out there.
