I’ve got Windows Movie Maker, and I’ve got several tapes worth of video taken with my Digital-8 Camera.
What I’m having trouble with, is when I’ve pulled clips from tape onto the PC, when I try to use Windows Movie Maker, after I’ve selected my clips, spliced them all together, and tell it to make the video…
it displays a little dialogue that says it’ll take 3 minutes to convert. Then 9 minutes. Then 10 minutes. It keeps going up. And up.
Last time I tried it before I moved, it said it would take something on the order of 630000 minutes, then it crashed my PC.
I’ve got all the requirements to run Movie Maker, with the possible exception of graphic-card. I’m using the on-board, which is enough to watch movies, and play a few fairly high end games (Civ 4 being the big one).
So what could be causing this problem? I’ve got a gig of RAM, I’ve got plenty of HD space.
Suggestions?
