Windows Vista -- is it THAT bad?

I was mistaken, I have 2 GB of ram already.

I did change the interface options away from aero and back to a less piggish interface, and navigating within the os is much peppier. I still am having trouble opening some docuements, and it is unclear if it is memory or vista is trying to access directories that don’t exits.

Oh, the one thing that megasucks is that when you try to find stuff, it looks in indexed places, not every where, unless you twist its arm. There was file I created in paint last night that I was looking for this morning, and the only way I found it again was to open paint and try to save somehthing again and not where it saved and then looked in that directory. I never did get a search to find it.

I like the latitude 6500, a nice machine, it should be perfect for Vista.

And You won’t need to go above 3gb of ram, but dieng as it’s most likely to come with 2x2gb sticks, you probably won’t have much option.
