I’m looking for a bottle of this wine:
2000 Rivetti La Spinetta Barolo “Vigneto Campe” Vursu
Which is listed at K&L Wine Merchants for $110, although they do not have any in stock. I’m hoping someone with a better internet wine site might be able to find a bottle. Thanks in advance for anyone taking the time to check!
You can try calling Bottle Barn, they’ve got a HUGE selection. They ship, but if you’re South Bay as in SF South Bay, you might want to make a day trip up here and check it out. Any wines that I don’t purchase directly from a winery, I usually purchase from Bottle Barn. Great store. Great beer selection too!
Finding a very specific bottle online is always a tricky proposition. My advice would be to call K&L directly and ask them. If you have no luck, why not try the other great wine store around San Francisco with K & L for initials - Kermit Lynch - they don’t have an online catalog, but they’ll almost certainly be able to point you in the right direction.
There are 36 hits on Google for the specific wine you reference including Sam’s Wine in Chicago which I would highly recommend and Wine Commune.
you could also try Wine Seacher, which seems to have numerous matches to your wine.
Matter of fact, if you have the time, Sam’s is worth devoting a bunch of time to, as a field trip, even if you’re not looking for a specific bottle of anything. We go there occasionally with no particular booze to buy, but we always find something interesting at the store. They don’t just sell wine, although their selection is astonishing. They sell every type of liquor, in addtion to having a very respectable cheese and etc. section. Truly remarkable, and the people who work there know just about everything there is to know about liquor. Just don’t go on a Saturday if you can help it. xo, C.
