Yeah, what? Never lived anywhere posh, but rent for a 4 bedroom is 1-1.5 round here. From her Wiki article it seems pretty clear she’s a UK citizen and eligible for NHS. Any explanations?
Comparisons to apartment rent aren’t really fair; Ms. Dean was living in a full-service care home. I have no idea if £3k is typical, but it doesn’t seem outrageous. The NHS will provide funding towards nursing costs in residential care homes, but it doesn’t cover the accommodation and non-medical personal care. Local authority assistance towards those costs is available, but isn’t huge.
