My home computer previously had WindowsXP Professional - unfortunately it turned out to be a nonlegit version and was subsequently eaten up by all the lovely crud that likes to gnaw into one’s system. IOW, The Kid downloaded whatever came her way and my inability to dl SP2 and various other patches simply caused it to hang out the “welcome!” sign.
So I now have a legit XP Home. Loaded it, planning (hoping) to completely get rid of the XP Pro.
Didn’t seem to happen.
The C drive is supposed to be the master. That’s what XP Pro was on. The D drive is supposed to be the slave. That’s where XP Home loaded to. I don’t WANT it on the slave drive - it’s itsy bitsy compared to the master.
I had never loaded an OS with two hard drives, so obviously I effed up. Is my only option to reload the sucker? How do I tell it to write to the C drive?
