Maybe they did, or maybe they made it up. Looks like a shitty website for right wing nuts to me - the kind that still pushes Trump’s lies about the 2020 election.
And, if you look at WSAU’s website, they’re a talk-radio station, which primarily runs conservative talk show hosts, including three hours a day of Sean Hannity.
The whole point is that there are real people, family mebers at the time, who are being quoted and went on record. Regardless of which rag reported it.
Protasiewicz has been a public figure for decades, including the entire time after the events being alleged by her former family members. She was an assistant DA in Milwaukee County, and then was a state circuit court judge beginning in 2014. Were these allegations being brought up previous to this election?
You do understand how politics work, right? The right digs up stuff on the left and the left digs up stuff on the right. You will never find a left leaning rag breaking a story like this.
Bear in mind that the Republicans in Tennessee are planning on kicking out three Democrats for using a bull-horn on the floor of the Assembly.
The bullhorn was the problem. Not that they were supporting gun control after a school shooting with fatalities. The bullhorn was an assault on democracy.
Even if Kelly decided not to mention it (given his non-concession speech doing so is not below him), seems odd that none of the 17* outside interest groups ran ads about this.

* I made that number up, but there were quite a few
No one else seems to be even reporting on it. At most maybe another site reprints it. If it’s a good story with legs, other outlets will report on it. That’s how news works.
Do you support removing George Santos (or Kavanagh)? Or just Democrats? Because for some reason with Santos, it is “the voters have spoken”, but for Protasiewicz it seems to be “There was an incident in her past, remove her!”
There are real people who are alleged to have said that she said something nasty a long time ago.
You know what, even if it’s true, and she’s a shitty human being, it looks like she’s a less shitty human being than the guy she defeated. Even if she’s a racist piece of shit, she’s likely to help make it easier for Black people in Wisconsin to vote, for instance.
This is an indication that you don’t look at very much left-leaning press, or that you accept the characterization of left-leaning press as reported by right-leaning press. You will definitely see stories like this on the left — not everywhere, not consistently in lockstep like on the right, because the left is fragmentary and fractious. This is because of the difference between right and left in terms of what is considered the greatest sin. On the right, the greatest sin is weakness. That’s why Trump is their ultimate hero: he never, ever concedes anything. On the left, by contrast, the greatest sin is hypocrisy. The right doesn’t give a shit about hypocrisy, but on the left, the different camps are poised to pounce on each other for any perceived gap between position and action. If this were not the case, then Franken would never have been forced to resign, to name just one example. If there were anything to these accusations, then the left’s hypocrisy patrol would be out in force.
Not untrue…but, as a human (including political) geographer based in a small city in west-central Wisconsin, I gotta tell you — there’s no escaping the reality of the gerrymandering, as summarized in the post above.
I agree that there should be some recognition of larger-area, lower-density regional proclivities apart from mere population numbers, but not nearly to that extent.
