Wisconsin Teen Charged With Using Facebook for Sexual Blackmail

That’s not blackmail, that’s a physical threat and, in some locations, physical assault. Please check the second definition, it matches exactly the situation reported.

We keep that behind the counter so that you have to ask for it and we can smirk at you…
Cartooniverse: there’s always the Quiet Zone if you’re up for a challenge. Or the Rare Books Room… Archive this, baby!

(no kidding, teens were caught having sex in a study room of one of the local library’s here. And they say nothing happens in the suburbs. Ha!)

Ah, that gives the “reference” section a whole new meaning.

I can help you narrow your search and personalize it, lobotomyboy. I aim to please.

There are some things in a library you’d just love to take home and peruse at leisure, but alas!

I would want to make the most of what access I have. Perhaps you could preview it for me, see which sections you find most interesting. Then maybe you’d have a private place to receive me…you know, for a debriefing.

Some part of the library collection are for display only, and then there are the more private collections where arrangements can be made-- for certain patrons. Of course, these patrons get only the most personalized service. I consider myself a full service librarian and patron satisfaction is my primary goal: how may I satisfy your needs today? I’m sure your library card is quite in order…

You can down load the The Kama Sutra of Vatsyayana being as it is long out of copyright. Nobody will know you read it unlike if you check it out at the library.

The Kama Sutra of Vatsyayana

Service with a smile, eh? You sound like the sort who knows how explore every angle and exhaust all resources.

@Harmonious: Maybe, but eleanorigby would know of related material and could help me put it all in the proper context.

Yes, I find guided tutorials and hands on learning to be a much more effective pedagogical approach…

We could uncover a lot of interesting things together. The process of discovery—penetrating the mysteries—can be so exciting!

BTW, I caught this update:

*The Waukesha County District Attorney said today he is trying to avoid having victims testify in the Internet blackmail case alleged against former New Berlin Eisenhower student Anthony Stancl.

“For child victims of sexual abuse, we have to find a way so they don’t have to relive this in the courtroom,” District Attorney Brad Schimel said. *

<snip>

*If convicted, Stancl faces a maximum penalty of nearly 300 years in prison. *

Can’t find the cite now but IIRC the DA is saying that they found so much child porn, victims’ testimony won’t be necessary.

I think I’m the first to say it. Who the hell sends naked pictures of themselves to someone they don’t know and has any belief that those photos will stay private and anonymous? I mean really?

I don’t care if the accused perp was a guy or a girl, or whatever. This is like Common Sense Rule #2 of the Modern Age. Nude pictures of yourself will always carry an X% chance of ending up public, and X increases the less well you know the person who has the pictures.
