30 years ago a mystery happened in my home town. At that time the population was around 800. A guy who may or may not have been involved with “the” mob disappeared. One of the rumors that have surfaced is that the guy disappeared into the WPP(you know how rumors fly).
I’ve tried searching www.fbi.gov, tried using search engines to no avail - all I’ve found is some weird conspiracy sites. Is this a valid rumor? Did the WPP exist in 1970? Can anyone fill in some background as to when the program was set up? And why? And who the first “disappeared” person was? or any trivia at all?
Well, any Arnold Schwartzenegger fan can tell you that the Witness Security Program is run by the U.S. Marshals Service. The program was initiated in 1970.
