I’m clumsy, they hurt and even though I’m a desk jockey, what little walking I do at work would be torture if I were doing it in heels.
I just don’t care about shoes, either.
I checked damn near everything on the list. They hurt, I look and feel ridiculous in them, they’d look silly with my jeans, I’d be laughed out of my office. I actually raised an eyebrow when I read “default foot wear for women,” not the case in my neck of the woods.
We had a gal who clomped up the stairs and clicked all over the office until one of our bosses broke down and told her to knock it off for the sake of everyone’s sanity.
ETA: I love shoes though. Merrells, Keens, North Face, Danners - it’s almost distressing how much I love getting new shoes.
