OK, that’s it. Unbelievable.
If the Austrailian line judge deemed the US off in the previous play but not Brasil the play after, she needs to be fired.
I tuned in after the red/pk call, but the ref got this one right. Going into a challenge with studs up is very often interpreted as violent conduct. She got the ball sure, but that’s only slightly less dangerous and the reason why it was a yellow and not a red.
The question was about awarding the US the kick after issuing a yellow on a US player, not that the yellow was called.
That was a blatant handball IN FRONT OF THE LINESMAN and it isn’t called.
Well yeah, Brazilian penalties don’t count. Haven’t you learned anything?
The US player was fouled just before that. I really didn’t get what the confusion was.
Sequence of events:
-US player fouled
-Rapinoe goes in studs up
-both the foul and yellow are called
Happened quickly, meh.
Seriously, now they’re just falling to draw the penalties. This is seriously ridiculous.
Erika just wasted time by getting taken off on a stretcher then miraculously gets up jogs down the sidelines.
EDIT: Now she’s back on the field.
Then jogs back onto the field like its nothing. That was sickening.
Yup. That’s a huge problem. FIFA could and should fine and card her after the fact, but they won’t.
Gooooooooooaaaalllll!!!
YES!!!
Yeeeeeeesssssssssss!!!
WOW!!!
Holy fucking shit!
HOLY SHIT I can’t believe that happened. Amazing!
Okay now the real game starts.
So, how many penalty kicks will be called back because of some daft movement by the keeper here? Now we get to see how consistent the ref really is.
Which is to say, not at all.
Retake Number 1!
