We watched the short-lived series Wonderfalls over the last week or so, and one thing has really been bothering me:
What kind of car was it that Jaye was driving? It had lettering across the back trunk, but I never had a clear enough shot to make it out. My guess is that it’s from the late 50s/early 60s.

It’s a Studebaker, either 1965 or 1966.

By '65 or '66, Studebakers had Chevy engines–they were running out of money, and discovered it was cheaper to buy engines from Chevrolet than to build them themselves.
There’s a legend that the Studebaker Chevy engines were better than the ones Chevy used in their own cars; since Studebaker had a reputation for quality, they specified heavy-duty parts (whereas Chevy had no reputation for quality to uphold). Well, at least that’s what the guy in the Studebaker club told me…
