I agree that this is too similar to an existing thread. I had seen that other thread earlier, but had forgotten about it.
I’m content to let this one die unless there’s some real advantage to having several associations per post.
What I had meant to convey in te OP was that between the shown words there are unshown ones that the reader has to supply for herself/himself.
In the OP, it might go:
Butter - (Cup) - Saucer - (Flying) - Trapeze - (Artist) - Easel - (Studio) - Couch - (Trip) - (the light) Fantastic - (Voyage) - Maiden - (Head) - Beer
So, unless this idea has fascination for other players, let’s just leave the currently active thread of Philster’s as the one to play.
Anybody have a better name for this type of wordplay? If so, maybe we could change the thread title to something less conflicting sounding.
