Below is a list of nine items. Your task is to pick which word is the right
fit for number 10. The choices for # 10 are : film, desk, crayon, mouse.
bee
solo
table
door
tire
box
clown
coat
dive
So, what do you think goes in #10: film, desk, crayon or mouse? Why?
I didn’t want to influence anything…
But this is my answer (Not sure if it’s correct.)
Mouse
I see a pattern with the 2nd letter in each word.
e, o, a, o, i, o, l, o, i
I can’t see any pattern with the meanings.
Look good?

Surely ‘solo’ and ‘dice’ cannot be classed as items.

Why not? To me “item” = “thing” = “noun”, and both of those words have noun forms.
The word itself is an item…not the item described by the word.
This had better have an answer and not be some “sucker” joke. I’ve already enlisted outside help!!

Another patter that I can see is the the last letter of each word is the same as the last letter of the corresponding word for the number:
bee - one
solo - two
table - three
door - four
tire - five
box - six
clown - seven
coat - eight
dive - nine
If that’s the pattern, then the next word needs to end with the last letter of “ten”, i.e. it must be “crayon”.

All the words can be used as nouns or verbs (granted, only one online dictionary had ‘door’ used as a verb; and ‘bee’ has to be used in an alternate spelling). In this case, ‘film’ would be the correct answer.
Peace.
