An absolute nightmare after guess two where the first letter could be B, F, H, M, P, W. The third guess was an attempt to check as many as possible, then I had three left and three guesses.
Sorry to anybody I spoiled. Could not get the spoiler tags to work. Still don’t know what I did wrong.

I knew going in it was a trap so I reverted to my best opener. Opening with 5 blacks is awesome; 9 blacks in the first two words less so. While I wasn’t bound to use letters other than O, taking the other 9 letters off the table was its own special brand of constricting.
Finally I thought of a word that fit, plus it checked a bunch of letters: FOUND. I almost guessed it but then I realized it was a trap word, then, duh, oh yeah, I already knew that going in. (My actual thought process.)
My two-word opener had checked mound, pound, sound, and round. That left bound, found, hound and wound. Plus YOUNG if I didn’t know it was a trap. So BFHW plus either G or Y, and I have to use an O. The best I could come up with was HOWDY to check hound, wound and young.
Still no hit meant I was down to two choices. The word I originally thought of was found, so I went with that.
I’m pretty stoked I was able to abide by super hard mode rules and still solve in 4 with a max of 5.
Your spoiler tags worked fine for me.

This one pissed me off!
Streak is over at 65. Too many options for that first letter.

LIONS - oh oh, could be one of the OUND words
MOUND - yes it is
WHOOP - used random number generator to shuffle possible letters until I could see a word with 3 of the letters
FOUND - if it was BOUND it would have been 6
Wordle 282 5/6
Yeah, I’d cleared enough letters by three that after 4 there were only two options.
I feel prescient.

I was lucky here - my first two words (CRIME and SHUNT) eliminated several clues (round, mound, sound) which might’ve led to a fail. There was only one remaining valid guess after this one, so I was guaranteed to win.

once I guessed POUND, then I had B, F, and W as possible first letters. So it took 2 out of 3 tries to get it.

This is why I don’t play in hard mode. I probably would have gone with ROUND, POUND, and MOUND before FOUND, if I hadn’t used my fourth word to troll for letters.
Well, no luck o’ the Polish today. Decided to go for broke on #3 and needed all guesses to get it in 6. It was literally the only remaining word possible:

Could have gone for a less risky WOMBS in #3 and gotten it in 4.
NYMPH → Well, that start was almost useless
STONE → At least I got a vowel out of that
ROUND → Uh, oh, start counting… F, W, B, I think that’s it
BOUND
WOUND
FOUND → Whew
I thought my first guess was nearly useless after I made it. It turned out to be what saved me.
Yay !

I find that guesses with no hits are pretty much as useful as guesses with a couple of hits. Note that I only got one letter in my first two guesses, but that already had me on the right track by guess 3 (which I would have hit with a bit more luck.)
I agree, but it does depend on which letters you’re cutting out. I was initially devaluing the particular letters of my starting word, as it had no common vowels and only one very common letter (from the WoF RSTLN set); once it was evident that three of its letters made a big difference in the endgame I was much happier about it.
