“PHONE” was rather dumb as it lacks an A, but at least it gave me the P. Even if I’d used a word with A as my second guess, I bet I wouldn’t have gotten this in less than 4. Meh.
Regarding today’s word (302, Easter Sunday), for all those who posted, kudos if you didn’t burn a guess on apple (like I did), maple or amble. Most of us burned a guess on one of those three before ever seeing the actual answer.
So if you saw it and went straight to it without checking one of those three options first, well done.
Tomorrow’s was pretty straightforward. Though if you commonly misspell this word, you might struggle.
