You’re right, only one. And based on that, he knows the other is wrong, too. I missed that he’d already tried SPOON. I’m going to go “never mind” my prior posts. Thanks!
I got this one in three. WordleBot called me “a lucky bastard” since I only had the middle letter and twelve choices remained after my second guess. But my average is like most folks, apparently, around 3.9, so the boost helps.

I didn’t think it would be shown, as I didn’t think it used verb past tenses, but it seemed to be the only possibility for the third try.

HEIST → Not a bad start. I’ll try the SH digraph with another vowel…
SHOCK → Paging Admiral Ackbar… no, wait: RN, WN, WY, AL, WA (no - too obscure) - I think I can get this. Try the best eliminator
SHOWN
I came close to following Wheelz’s example.

I took a bit of a wild guess for tomorrow’s, and was amazed to see five greens come up for it.

@discobot is this true?

Awww. Who’s the jerk that disabled @discobot?
Hi! To find out what I can do, say @discobot display help
.
It is possible that I am rephrasing the exact words, but not the essence of the critique.
However, WordleBot - a tool devised by the New York Times to get all judgey about your efforts - is not the same as any other local bots which apparently have much more important raisons d’etre.

Another lucky guess for 4 although I am having trouble coming up with other options. Maybe there weren’t a lot of other options.

ZESTY
A good word/puzzle today. I was confident GUEST was the answer, and then befuddled when I still didn’t have a single green. Then I noticed my first two words also could have allowed EXIST.
When I finally saw testy it didn’t even occur to me it could be a trap because it took forever to find any word for both 3 and 4.
I feel like I did everything right, and against my particular strategy, the puzzle did everything right as well. I’ll take the well-earned 5. (Well-earned from the puzzle’s perspective. Nice ‘D’!)
Here’s hoping BESTY and WESTY aren’t in the answer list.
Got it!

Maybe my brain was farting but for some reason I was struggling with this one.
My wife, who’d already solved it, wasn’t helping at all. Great. Thanks for nothing. But I don’t help her either!
I caught up with the thread. Funny, you guys!
About my wife, frankly if she helped me then really, I’d be pissed! That’s how we roll.
But this…
@eschrodinger, uncanny how our guesses were almost identical!
It is uncanny! Do you use Wordlebot? I’m curious if the one letter difference in our first words made much difference. I had four possible solutions after mine, and only one possible solution after the second word.
