Back to quick-n-easy street with a great start word. What a teaser though, seeing three tiles turn green out the gate…thought I was going to get my once in a lifetime one-guess win.

I only saw three options from there, unless I was mistaken. I was going to go with Trash for my second guess, but since two of the three words had ‘ai’, thought I’d best go with one of them.

SLEPT - Ignoring the two greens. I looked for letters that I thought was likely to be in the remaining three spots and put as many as possible in the word. Wordlebot with the same first word had a word with five new letters (TWIGS). Since it knows all the words and has algorithms it’s better than mine.
TRASH - My second word gave me two of the other letters, which is enough to solve.

Yeesh, I feel I had all solid guesses, but my initial word did me no favors. Took five and wordlebot let me know there were actually two choices left at the fifth slot, so could easily have been six.

A pre-coffee solve. On three, I looked for a long time for a TRA__ word with letters I hadn’t used yet. I was certain I had it with TRAMP. Then I looked for an even longer time for what turned out to be a relatively common word with common letters. Do not underestimate the power of caffeine.

At some point or another? I wish! Seems to happen to me nearly every puzzle.

My absolute favorite is when I post my results and mention a specific number of possible answers only to find the previous couple posts to mine include additional possibilities I never thought of.

I have a question-when I share my puzzle result with my mom, the spaces are black but when she sends hers to me, they’re white. Why?

ZESTY → Kinda figured I was likely to hit 2 letters, and they wouldn’t be Z or Y. Try two other vowels next
